Latest News & Updates

Dear Christ Church,

I love sunsets. (I'd probably love sunrises too, but to be honest I'm rarely up to see those.) I love the way sunsets are never the same and yet always spectacular. I love how the light stretches, changes and reflects - rising and falling in a majestic symphony of color. But you know what really delights me? How a sunset draws a crowd. There's always people looking to the horizon, phones out, fingers pointing, faces filled with joy and awe. Their attention is captured, and the need to share this beautiful sight cannot be suppressed or denied. "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork" (Ps. 19:1) I was thinking of this as Pastor Jon was preaching this Sunday on how we are made in the image of God and what that means. It struck me that we are drawn to delight in God's creation (i.e. enjoying a sunset), because we are his creatures - designed to see and reflect his glory. What an incredible God we worship! He created us and everything else for his own glory. Let us praise him!

Please don't for get to read the announcements below. And, as always, reach out if there is any way I can be of assistance to you.
