Happy (almost) May! It's almost a new month and that means we have a new Psalm and Missionary to focus on. I thought I'd take a minute to introduce you to these new headlining announcements.

Let's start with the Psalm. May's Psalm of the Month is #75, "We Give You Thanks, O God". Learning this Psalm is a great way to store the Word in our hearts. Putting these life-giving words to music can help us learn them quickly and remember them for a long time. The Trinity Psalter Hymnal has an app that you can download and use to learn this month's Psalm (and more!). The app is $10, but well worth it. Just skip the coffee shop for a day or two, buy the app, and get a head start on learning our Psalm of the month! We will be singing it every Sunday, so let's "tune our hearts to sing Thy praise!"

I also would like to introduce you to Matt and Deborah Stanghelle, our Missionary of the Month! The Stanghelles currently live in Stavanger, Norway, where they are planting First Presbyterian Church of Norway, an international mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America. They are committed to establishing healthy, Christ-centered churches through the ordinary means of expository preaching, biblical worship, and devoting themselves to prayer, discipleship, and evangelism. 

In addition to our new Missionary of the Month, please be in prayer for the 2022 GRN  conference, and the PCA. This conference is an enormous opportunity for encouragement and evangelism. May the Lord be glorified and his church strengthened!

Gospel Reformation Network Conference | THIS WEEK May 4–5 in Birmingham, AL
The Gospel Reformation Network, an organization whose goal is to cultivate healthy Reformed churches in the Presbyterian Church in America, is holding its annual conference at Briarwood PCA Church on May 4th and 5th. This year’s conference is entitled The Church’s One Foundation: The Sufficiency of the Gospel in a Secular Age. Pastor Jon will join many other godly, faithful, and stalwart ministers of the gospel to encourage all attendees to stand firm upon God’s Word. If you are able, sign up now to travel to Birmingham to participate in this wonderful event!

GRN National Conference Livestream & Dinner | THIS Wednesday, May 4th at 6:15pm
For all who are unable to travel to Birmingham, Christ Church will host a live-streamed event Wednesday, May 4th where we will share a meal, fellowship with one another, and watch the two lectures given that night: “Don't Shrink Back! Holy Courage & Gospel Confidence in a Secular Age” from Pastor Jon at 7:15 PM and “Amazing Grace: Reflections on 40 Years of Ministry in the PCA” from Dr. Harry Reeder at 8:45 PM. RSVP for this fantastic event here! RSVP by Sunday, May 1 so that we have time to order the correct amount of food. Baby Shower Brunch for Claire Kendall | Saturday, May 14th at 10:30am

Vacation Bible School | July 19-21
Mark your calendars! Christ Church Presbyterian will be having Vacation Bible School for kids ages 4-12 at the church July 19-21. More details coming soon!

The Church Library is OPEN
Christ Church has a library, and now you can use it! The bookshelves next to the couch in the Foyer are filling up with books for your to browse and borrow. Just open the book you want to borrow, take out the card, sign and date it, and drop in in the blue basket. We will contact you in 2-3 weeks to see how you are enjoying your new read and remind you to bring it back.
