Fellowship Meal - Mission Sunday | THIS SUNDAY, October 9, 2022
Please mark your calendars and make plans enjoy a Fellowship Meal with our church family on Mission Sunday, October 9 following the morning worship service. Join us for this wonderful time to enjoy a meal and fellowship on the Lord’s day as a church family!  We still need 5 families to sign up to bring a main dish, large enough to serve at least 10 people. All others are asked to bring a dessert. Please be sure to sign up! Thank you for serving our church body in this way!

Mission Sunday | THIS SUNDAY October 9, 2022
We are looking forward to this Great Commission focused Sunday at Christ Church Presbyterian. Rev. Chris Gordon, Senior Pastor of Escondido URC in Escondido, California will be our guest preacher. In addition to pastoral ministry, Pastor Gordon is the host of Abounding Grace Radio, a Christian radio ministry that reaches hundreds of thousands of people across the U.S., Canada, and Africa. In addition, Pastor Gordon is the author of The New Reformation Catechism on Human Sexuality. Join us for a mission-themed Sunday school hour for all ages, as well as a fellowship meal immediately following the morning service.

Good News Club 
Christ Church Presbyterian is supporting a local Good News Club! We'd love your help and prayer in this endeavor. Please save the following dates: 

• THIS SUNDAY: Following the fellowship meal, we will host a planning meeting in the front of the sanctuary to formally organize the club supported by Christ Church. 
• November 2: Launch of the Good News Club at Belle Hall Elementary, to be hosted weekly on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 PM. 

Please be praying for this Good News Club and those involved. If you are retired or otherwise have free time in the afternoons, there is a significant need for more volunteers from our congregation. If you are interested in the rich opportunity to share the Gospel every week with children (and their families, by extension) in the local community, please reach out to Matt Watson (matthewwatson2009@gmail.com).

Fall Church Picnic | NEXT Saturday, October 15
We have reserved space at Palmetto Islands County Park [444 Needlerush Pkwy, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464] for our Fall Church Picnic! The picnic will be Saturday, October 15th from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Please plan to attend this wonderful time of fun and fellowship with your church family and bring a side dish or dessert to share!

Christ Church Welcome Team
Members of Christ Church, we'd love for you to join the Christ Church Welcome Team! The welcome team exists to show hospitality to our visitors by warmly greeting them, ensuring they have a bulletin and place to sit, as well as through follow up encouragement via phone call or meeting. We are looking for 6 more folks to serve on a monthly rotation. Women’s Fellowship Event | October 19th at 7:00 PM
Ladies! Mark your calendar! You are warmly invited to the October Women’s Fellowship, on Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 PM, at the home of Lisa Jacobs. The Women's Fellowship is hosted in a different home each month, and includes heavy finger foods, dessert, fellowship, a devotion, and a season of prayer. It’s a time to grow deeper in the Lord and foster friendships, old and new!

New Members Class | Starting Sunday, November 20
Our New Members Class is for all those who would like to find out more information about the church and/or join us in membership. High School Girl's Bible Study | Sundays at 4:00 PM
High School Gals! Join Rachael McIntosh for a Bible Study held in Rachael's office at 4:00 PM on Sunday afternoons. We will be walking through the book of James together. If you are interested in joining this study, please email Rachael McIntosh at rachael@christchurchcharleston.org.

Kids’ Catechism | Not Meeting this week (10/09)
Children ages 8–12 are welcome to join the Kids’ Catechism Class at Christ Church. We are studying the Westminster Shorter Catechism and meet on Sundays 4:30 PM at the church. This week's memory verse is Romans 10:17: “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

MUSC & Twenty-Somethings Bible Study | Tuesdays at 6:45 PM
The weekly MUSC & twenty-somethings Bible study meets on Tuesdays at 6:45 PM at the home of Michael and Sarah Bauer. Join us each week as we have a catered dinner, wonderful Christian fellowship, and study 1 Corinthians. Bring your Bible and a friend!  If you’d like more information about this fantastic ministry please contact Pastor Michael.

Men of the Covenant Bible Study | Thursday, October 13 at 7:15 AM
Our Men of the Covenant Bible Study will meet this week for a time of fellowship at Another Broken Egg Cafe in the Belle Hall Shopping Center at 7:15am. Join us for this chance to grow in grace with one another!
