Our Building Fund
Dear Members and Friends of Christ Church,
"And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly ..." (Acts 6:7a).
In just under ten months the Lord has blessed us with a loving, unified, and growing congregation. Many new individuals and families visit each Sunday, and interest in our church plant continues to increase. The infant and toddler nurseries are packed with precious children. The MUSC and men's Bible studies are very well attended. The monthly women's Bible study fellowship is consistently full. I receive regular inquiries about Christ Church through email, phone calls, and social media. For all of this, we must express praise and gratitude to our mighty God. Christ is building His church through His Word, and nothing can stop Him.
In recent weeks, several of you have asked when we are going to begin a building fund and start looking for our own land and/or facility. Our growing average attendance and full nurseries over the past two weeks have multiplied these inquiries––– especially from the nursery workers!
I'm delighted to announce that Christ Church, under the financial oversight of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, is now set up to receive funds for the future purchase of land and/or facilities. As many of you know, we've been committed from the very beginning to plant Christ Church in either downtown Charleston or the southern part of Mount Pleasant (south of the IOP). These locations are most strategic for long-term impact in reaching students, making disciples of all ages, and having a wider impact in the low country and around the world. However, these strategic locations are also expensive locations in terms of property.
For this reason, Christ Church, let us commit to pray daily for God's provision. The Lord owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Ps. 50:10). It is nothing for Him to provide Christ Church with the financial resources necessary for us to own our own facility. So let us pray boldly and earnestly. Along with praying, let us be committed to sacrificially giving. Indeed, in addition to the weekly tithe, let us consider how we can give cheerfully towards this important fund. Our giving towards the building fund may be done on a regular basis, in one time gifts, or through estate planning. It is exciting to think of what the Lord will do as we step out in faith.
Please make all checks out to Christ Church Presbyterian and be sure to place "Building Fund" in the MEMO line. These Christ Church building fund checks may be placed in the offering plate in Lord's Day worship or mailed directly to:

It is a privilege to serve as your minister, worship with you as a brother, and grow with you as friends. As we move forward, may our only boast be in the Lord (2 Cor. 10:17).
